These terms apply to everything you buy from Garifuna Live ("we", "us"). By using this site or buying an ebook, you agree to them. If you are buying on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you may agree on its behalf; otherwise you confirm you are of legal age to buy.
What we sell
Downloadable ebooks and guides covering home maintenance and repair, and the Garifuna language. They are educational materials. They are not professional advice, and they do not replace a licensed contractor, electrician, plumber or other qualified professional. Follow local codes and hire a professional for anything unsafe.
Payment, billing and refunds
Bundles are paid for here, by card or with PayPal at checkout. Single ebooks are sold on our own storefronts at garifuna.live and xianehomes.org, using the payment methods offered there. Prices are shown in US dollars and any applicable tax is added at checkout. Our refund window is set out in our refund policy.
Your licence
When you buy an ebook you get a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to read it for your own personal or internal business use. You may not resell, redistribute, publish, share your download link publicly, or create derivative works for sale. We keep ownership of the ebooks, the site, and all related intellectual property, including text, images and branding.
Acceptable use
Do not use this site unlawfully, commit fraud or spam, infringe anyone's intellectual property, or interfere with our security (no malware, probing, scraping or circumventing technical limits). Keep your account credentials confidential; you are responsible for activity under your account, and for giving us accurate information.
Availability and warranties
We work to keep the site and downloads available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
Liability
Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages, including lost profits, data or goodwill. Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury where the law does not allow it. You agree to indemnify us for claims arising from your unlawful use of the site or breach of these terms.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end your access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. If your access ends, ebooks you have already lawfully bought remain yours to keep.
General
These terms are governed by the laws of the place where Garifuna Live is established, and disputes go to the courts there. You may not transfer these terms without our consent; we may transfer them as part of a merger or acquisition. Neither side is liable for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control.
